Mary Catherine Bethune, age 90, of Randle Cliff, MD died October 3, 2010 at Calvert County Nursing Center in Prince Frederick, MD. She was born May 10, 1920 in Washington, DC to the late Louis Anthony and Anna Marietta (Robinson) Corrado. She received her education in Washington D.C. schools and was married to James J. Cranston, Jr. in 1941. They moved to Randle Cliff in 1946 and operated the Randle Cliff Market until 1965. Mr. Cranston died in 1971. She married Nevin Edgar Bethune in 1989 who died in 1991. Mary enjoyed watching court TV. Surviving are three sons James J. Cranston of Huntingtown, MD, Thomas M. Cranston of West River, MD and Stephen F. Cranston of Randle Cliff, MD; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a sister Elizabeth Sens of Randle Cliff, MD. She was preceded in death by a brother Tony Corrado, a sister Anna Rose Collins and four grandchildren
