Barbara Ann Miller, age 59, of Laurel, MD passed away October 14, 2010 at her son’s residence in Owings, MD. She was born February 4, 1951 in Washington, D.C. and raised in Silver Spring, MD. She was a graduate of Northwood High School and was employed for many years as a retail salesperson at numerous retail companies in the suburban Washington area. She had previously worked as a district manager of store security for the former Hecht Co. department stores. In her leisure time Barbara enjoyed card playing and spending time with her family. She was married to John Paul Miller Jr. She is survived by her husband John, her son John P. Miller III of Owings, MD, a brother Joseph P. Curto, Sr. and wife June of Woodlawn, MD and a sister Bonnie Karp and husband Howard of Mt. Airy, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister Catherine Heitz.
Family and friends will be received at Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, MD on Tuesday October 19 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland will follow the visitation.
