William R. “Billy” Jenkins, 57, of Great Mills, MD passed away suddenly November 26, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1953 to Elmer L., Sr. and Kathleen L. (Hardesty) Jenkins. He was raised in Dunkirk, attended Calvert County public schools and graduated from Calvert High School. He was employed for many years as a baggage handler and ticket agent for Delta Airlines at various airports in the United States. He returned to Calvert County in the 1990’s and worked for Safeway grocery stores, and moved to St. Mary’s County about five years ago and worked as a sales associate for Staples office supply in Lexington Park, MD. In his leisure time Billy enjoyed reading, was a movie buff, and enjoyed travel, especially during his youth.
Billy was preceded in death by his father Elmer L. Jenkins, Sr. He is survived by his mother Kathleen L. Jenkins, sisters Gloria J. McNally, Janet L. Machado and her husband Carlos, and Linda K. Jenkins, and by a brother Elmer L. “Buddy” Jenkins, Jr., all of Dunkirk.
