Mary Virginia Tyler, age 85, of Capitol Heights, MD passed away November 28, 2010 at Prince George’s Hospital Center, Cheverly, MD. She was born January 24, 1925 in Alexandria, VA to Charles and Mary Agnes (Blake) Darnall. She attended Maryland Park High School and was married to Calvin C. Tyler June 6, 1941. Mary was a life long resident of Prince George’s County. She and her husband operated Tyler’s Tackle Shop in Chesapeake Beach from 1969 until selling the business in 1995. Although she worked with her husband in his endeavors she relished being a homemaker. She was an excellent cook, loved to crochet and enjoyed bowling. She was preceded in death by a son Calvin A. Tyler on May 2, 1992. Surviving are her beloved husband of 69 years, Calvin C. Tyler, a daughter Linda Burroughs and her husband Don of St. Augustine, FL; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a sister Thelma Jackman of Prince Frederick, MD and a brother Thomas King of Upper Marlboro, MD.
