Yvonne M. Crigger, “Sissy”, 72, of St. Leonard, MD passed away March 2, 2011. Sissy was born December 4, 1938 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Mack and Molly Proffitt Brewster. In addtion to her parents, Sissy was preceded in death by her siblings George, Robert, Bobby, and Junior Brewster. She worked as a nursing assistant in the health care system.
Beloved wife of the late Donald L. Crigger, she is survived by her son, David Crigger and his wife Kellie of Columbia S.C., grandchildren, Michael Crigger and his wife Michelle, Dustin Crigger and Brandon Crigger. Great grandmother of Jackson Crigger, she is also survived by her siblings, Regina Trapp, Nancy Blackwell, Sandra, Randall, Michael, and Terry Brewster.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 8, 2011 from 6-8 PM with service to follow at 8 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic MD. Interment will be on Wednesday March 9, 2011, 10 AM at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
