Agnes H. Buckler, 90, of Huntingtown, MD passed away on November 15, 2011 in Prince Frederick, MD. She was born on April 16, 1921, on the family farm on the Chesapeake Bay where she lived her entire life. She worked on the farm and enjoyed sharing her farm with a few younger folks who would come to visit her and hunt the land. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, good food, and of course gardening and planting flowers. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph Peter and Margaret Jane Buckler, siblings Mabel Buckler, Marguerite Buckler, Chester Buckler, Mark Buckler and a niece Sarah Buckler.
Agnes is survived by a niece, Margaret McCarthy of Huntingtown, and a nephew, Stewart Buckler and his wife Jan of Prince Frederick, MD.
The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Friday November 18, 2011 from 6-8 PM where services will be held on Saturday November 19, 2011, at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Central Cemetery, Barstow, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to either Prince Frederick or Huntingtown Volunteer Rescue Squads.
