Joseph Henry Tippett, Sr. “Snook”, 78, of Lusby, MD, formerly of Forestville, MD passed away on December 8, 2011 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. He was born on September 9, 1933 in Washington, DC to the late Frank S. and Violett S. Tippett. Joseph is survived by his wife Joan Marie Tippett; daughters Marie “Terri” Therese of Lusby, MD, Dorothy Virginia Nielson of Lusby, MD, Carole Elaine Shegogue of Lusby, MD and Dina Michele Windsor of Mechanicsville, MD; sons, Joseph H. Tippett, Jr. of LaPlata, MD, Thomas Eugene Tippett of Brandywine, MD and Gordon Wesley Tippett of Waldorf, MD; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Frank Eugene Tippett, Wilber Tippett and Edward Tippett.
