Calvin Lester Mister

Calvin Lester Mister, 91, of Broomes Island, MD passed away on December 20, 2011 in Prince Frederick, MD. Calvin was born on December 20, 1920 in Broomes Island, MD to the late George E. and Fannie Fowler Mister. Besides his parents, Calvin is predeceased by his wife, Madeline Mister, and 8 siblings, Claude, Granville, Norman, and Ford Mister, Mae Ramsey, Elva Catterton, Gladys Parks, and Effie Elliott. Calvin drove a bus for Patuxent River Navy base picking up sailors at Union Station and driving them down to the Navy Base. He also worked as a carpenter for Local Union # 1590 for 15 years; he drove a truck for Warren Denton Seafood Co. for many years and was a waterman who loved to fish and crab.
He is survived by three daughters, Betty Garver, Judy Ferrell and Martha Mister, grandfather of Bethany Patel and Natalie Sloan, he is also survived by six great grandchildren, Ashley Sloan, Victoria Webb, Sarah Sloan, Caleb Sloan, Suvali Patel and Kalan Patel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday
December 22, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4005 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD where services will be held on Friday December 23, 2011, 11 AM Interment will follow in Broomes Island Cemetery.
