William Sandoval, age 71, of Fredericksburg, VA and formerly of Friendship, MD died April 23, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. He was born February 10, 1939  in Pueblo, Co to Benjamin and Juanita Montano Sandoval. William was raised by his paternal grandparents in San Bernardino, CA. and attended schools there. He served in the California National Guard later serving in the Air Force for over five years before joining the Army in 1961 and serving until 1964 He was married to Ellen Nora Parker November 7, 1964 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Piscataway. William worked for C & P Telephone Company and attended the University of Maryland where he received a degree in Business Administration. He then became a telecommunication specialist with the Government first at the Veterans Administration and later at the Department of the Treasury until retiring in 1996.  They lived and raised their family in District Heights, Forestville, Upper Marlboro, Piscataway and Friendship. He moved to Fredericksburg after the death of his wife in 2006. Mr. Sandoval was a former member of St. Anthony’s Church of North Beach and was a current member of St. Patrick’s Church in Fredericksburg and the Knight of Columbus Battlefield Council. William is survived by his four sons William J. Sandoval and his wife Christine of Severn, MD, Daniel T. Sandoval and his wife Jill of Fredericksburg, VA, David A. Sandoval and his wife Tracy of Knoxville, TN and Christopher J. Sandoval and his wife Shizuka of Alexandria, VA , twelve grandchildren Alexandra, Marlette, James, Alice, Samantha, Amelia, Luka, Noah, Kai, Luna and Baker Sandoval and Evan Springer  He is also survived by his siblings Daniel Sandoval and his wife Viola of Pueblo, Co, Paul Sandoval of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Bernie and John Sandoval of Pueblo, CO, Teresa Sandoval of Fremont, CA, Betty Jean Sandoval of Denver CO, Rebecca Sandoval of Emeryville, CA and Veronica Sandoval of Alameda, CA
